PM Modi to launch Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Shramev Jayate Karyakram scheme

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Shramev Jayate Karyakram on Thursday.

Under the scheme, labourers will get Unique Labour Identification numbers, LIN, to facilitate their online registration. At least four crore labourers are expected to benefit from this scheme.

The Deendayal Upadhyay Shramev Jayate Karyakram initiative is aimed at creating a conducive environment for industrial development and doing business with ease.

Prime Minister Modi will also dedicate to the nation a unified labour portal called Shram Suvidha and launch Universal Account Number for Employees Provident Fund besides the Apprentices Protsahan Yojana which will support one lakh apprentices.

He will also unveil a labour inspection scheme to facilitate ease of compliance by four central government organizations. These are Employees' State Insurance Corporation and Employees' Provident Fund Organization , Director General of Mine Safety and Central Labour Commissioner.

 

About 35 state government labour, health, vocational training ministers and 60 secretaries of these departments are scheduled to attend the day-long conference.
