Soon after his arrival in Fiji capital Suva on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi used Instagram to share a scenic view of the Pacific Ocean.
"Bula from Fiji! On the shores of the Pacific Ocean, among wonderful people," Prime Minister Modi said in his message that accompanied the photograph.
In Fijian, the term Bula, pronounced "boo-lah", literally means "life", but has several meanings.
When used as a greeting, it wishes people good health.
Prime Minister Modi made his debut on Instagram last week, with a photo of Myanmar, where he had gone to attend the ASEAN Summit.
