Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday visited the Jallianwala Bagh to pay homage to the martyrs in the India's freedom struggle.
The Prime Minister laid a wreath at the Jallianwala Bagh memorial while remembering those were slain in the British massacre in 1919.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi paid tribute to the sacrifice of the youth of Punjab, saying that the state has contributed greatly to India's freedom struggle.
He also paid homage to freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev and B.K. Dutt, during a visit to National Martyrs Memorial at Hussainiwala.
