Pitching Prime Minister Narendra Modi's agenda for development in Uttarakhand, Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday asserted, that the former would nurture the dream of party stalwart Atal Behari Vajpayee for the state.
Addressing a party rally in Dehradun, Pradhan said, "I know the people of Uttarakhand have made up their minds to usher development in the state. It was Atal Behari Vajpayee ji who had the dream and it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi who will nurture it."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi who, earlier today addressed the rally in Rudrapur district of Uttarakhand, slammed the Opposition for demanding proof on the surgical strikes India conducted across the Line of Control (LoC) last year in September.
Speaking on corruption and black money, the Prime Minister said that with the wishes of the people of Uttarakhand, he has initiated the fight against this evil.
Assembly elections in Uttarakhand are scheduled to be held in single phase on February 15th. While the Congress would want to retain power, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would want to consolidate its influence in the state.
