Modi will oppose any country that is against India: Shahnawaz Hussain

He said if Modi was anti-pak he would have never invited Nawaz Sharif for his swearing in ceremony

Commenting on General Pervez Musharraf's statement that Narendra Modi is 'anti-Pakistan', Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shahnawaz Hussain on Wednesday said the Prime Minister is a patriot and will oppose any nation that is against India.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi is pro-India, he loves India and is a patriot. He will oppose any country that is against India," Hussain told ANI here.

"If Pakistan stops interfering with our internal matters and maintains peace on the border then we won't oppose Pakistan," he added.

Asserting that the prime minister has a big heart, Hussain further said this is the reason why he extended an invitation to his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif to attend his swearing-in ceremony in New Delhi.

"The PM has then told the Pakistani Prime Minister very clearly that talks and terror cannot go hand in hand. Despite this, Pakistan interferes in our internal matters, meets separatist leaders and violates the ceasefire. Then how can General Musharraf expect the Prime Minister to support Pakistan," he added.
