PM Narendra Modi asks people to undertake 10-year moratorium on communal, caste clashes

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today requested people of the country to follow a path of peace and brotherhood and asked them to undertake a ten year moratorium on communal, caste and class clashes to see positive results.

"The path of violence hasn't given us anything. I request you all to undertake a 10-year moratorium on communal, caste and class clashes to see positive results Law will take its course, but every parent must take the responsibility to bring back our sons who deviated from the right path. We must believe in brotherhood and pledge to take the nation forward," said Modi.

 

"When there are incidents of rape, as parents you question your daughters as to where and why they are going. Why don't you ask your sons the same questions? Maoists, terrorists, even they are someone's sons right? Did you try to question and control your sons like you do to your daughters?" he asked

Earlier today, the Prime Minister unfurled the flag in the central court of Red Fort, after inspecting the guard of honour.

After hoisting the National Flag from the ramparts of Red Fort, he began his addressal to the nation.

The Prime Minister also paid homage at the Rajghat before reaching the Red fort.
