The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Sunday announced to field its candidates against former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
Nisar is contesting the upcoming Pak general elections as an independent candidate.
The party fielded Mumtaz Khan and Raja Qamar Islam from NA-63 and NA-59, respectively, who will be contesting against the former interior minister, Dawn reported.
Till Saturday, no candidate was fielded against Nisar Ali Khan by the PML-N.
On June 22, Nisar had distanced himself from reports about his strong statements made against the PML-N leadership and the Sharif family.
"I am not angry. I have only differed from former Sharif for his betterment," he said.
This comes after he said that Nawaz was not eligible to head the party in the 90s but was made the party leader, due to lack of options.
Nisar also said that he carried the burden of Nawaz for 34 years and that the former prime minister was indebted to him.
