The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won the parliamentary seat of Lahore NA-122 with a margin of 4,161 votes, but was unable to secure the Punjab Assembly's PP-147 seat.
PML-N leader Sardar Ayaz Sadiq reclaimed his Lahore seat by defeating rival Abdul Aleem Khan from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), The Express Tribune reported.
According to the unofficial result emerging from different polling stations, Sadiq bagged 76,204 votes, while Khan bagged 72,043 votes.
The PML-N, however, was defeated in the Punjab constituency PP-147. PTI's Shoaib Siddiqui defeated PML-N's Mohsin Latif by 3,352 votes.
Despite the party's loss in Lahore, PTI leader Chaudhry Sarwar said the result has given a boost to their morale, and added that a loss by a few thousand votes should not be seen as a defeat.
