Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed deep concern over the incidents in Hisar, Haryana and Nadia, West Bengal.

The official twitter account of the Prime Minister's Office shared Prime Minister Modi's concern over the incidents.

"PM is deeply concerned about the incidents in Hisar, Haryana and Nadia, West Bengal," the office posted.

"PMO has asked for immediate report on facts and action taken regarding the incidents in Haryana and West Bengal," it added.

On Sunday, an under-construction church was demolished in the Kaimri village in Hisar, with the miscreants responsible for the attack hoisting a flag with 'Shri Ram' written on it.

According to reports, the villagers were angry over alleged efforts by a priest to convert locals to Christianity.

The police have registered a case against 14 people named by the priest and have started an investigation into the matter.

This followed Saturday's incident in the Nadia district of West Bengal, where a 72-year-old nun was gang raped by dacoits.

A study of CCTV footage at the convent shows four persons allegedly committing the crime.

So far, ten persons have been detained in connection with the crime.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has assured that a CID probe is on and guilty will be nabbed soon.
