A poacher was recently killed in an encounter with the forest guard at Kanchanjuri forest camp under Bagori range of Kaziranga National Park.
The forest officials had information of poachers trying to enter from the southern part of the bagori range and had laid ambush at various places.
An encounter ensued when they noticed a group of four poachers. The officials also recovered some arms from the dead poacher.
