Police arrested four people, including a woman, with fake currency notes worth more than one million rupees in Bihar's Champaran district.
Superintendent of Police, Saurav Kumar Shah, said that security forces raided a house of a suspected smuggler in West Champaran district and recovered bundles of currency notes in denomination of Rs. 500 and 1,000.
"We raided the house of Sanjay Yadav. During the raids, we recovered nearly 1.1 million Indian counterfeit notes," said Shah.
Police interrogated the accused to ascertain the source of the money.
"So far three people have been arrested, including a woman who is being interrogated," added Shah.
