Police arrested tennis legend John McEnroe's son in New York for allegedly purchasing cocaine and more than two dozen prescription pills.

Cops in New York stopped Kevin McEnroe on Tuesday after officers became suspicious that a potential drug deal was taking place.

Police said that Kevin was stopped in Manhattan's East Village and was found carrying six small envelopes of cocaine, 20 painkillers, 10 morphine pills and one anxiety pill, The Mirror reported.

The 27-year-old, the eldest of the former tennis player's five children, has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police has also arrested his alleged drug dealer, identified as Niro Meneses, who they say was carrying 13 envelopes of cocaine and three vials of drugs and charged him with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

Former barman Kevin is the son of John and his ex-wife actress Tatum O'Neal, who is reported to have called the police station where her son was being detained.
