Police have arrested three Maoists who have been accused of carrying out several attacks in Jharkhand. They also confirmed the recovery of arms and ammunition during a search operation.
Police recovered a looted police rifle and many rounds of unused bullets during the arrest of Maoists in Palamu district in Jharkhand.
"We have recovered a 303 rifle which was looted from police personnel along with 77 rounds of bullets," said Superintendent of Police, Y. S. Ramesh.
In the sixth phase of polling in general election, Jharkhand will also vote today.
Over 48,000 security personnel will be on high alert to ensure safe and peaceful poling in Jharkhand.
