Gaya District police officials have confirmed the capture of two hardcore armed Naxals last night.
Senior Superintendent Police Nishant Kumar Tiwari informed media that there was a checking operation going on in the area when the two Naxals were nabbed.
Police personnel deployed at the Amas Police Station arrested two hardcore Naxals who were passing through G T Road in a Sumo car. Police also recovered huge quantities of arms from them.
One of the arrested Naxals is a resident of Odisha, while the other belongs to Gaya District only.
Police was checking every car passing by on G T Road when a Tata Sumo tried to flee away and caught the police's attention. Police succeeded in catching them and also recovered three rifles, one pistol and one locally manufactured gun.
