The Malaysian police reportedly raided the house of the chief pilot of the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 to investigate if there was anything strange about his behaviour in the days following the ill-fated flight.
Malaysia's acting Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein refuted the claim saying that the reports were not true.
While the Malaysian authorities denied that a raid was ever conducted, police sources said they had questioned the pilot's family and were investigating if there were any underlying mental or psychological issues, but said it was a routine part of their investigation, News.com.au reported.
Describing the pilot Zaharie Ahmad Shah as an "aviation geek", who made more than 18,000 flying hours during his three decades at Malaysian Airlines, the Airlines said that he was entirely devoted to his job.
With the search for the missing plane nearing almost a week, numerous theories about the plane's disappearance have emerged after it went off radar on Saturday morning just 40 minutes of take off from Kuala Lumpur enroute to Beijing.
