Ludhiana Police have confirmed the recovery of arms, including three rocket launchers, with 'made in Khalistan' imprinted on them.
On Monday, approximately five-year old arms, which are in working condition, were seized by the police after a tip-off.
"We have recovered three rocket launchers and 28 revolvers and pistols and 11 magazines. Made in Khalistan has been printed on the weapons," said Senior Superintendent of Police, H.S. Brar.
A demand for a separate nation of Khalistan was a movement in Punjab by Sikh insurgents in late 1980s and early 1990s, which eventually died down, after creating much chaos in the state.
However, the demand for Khalistan is still kept alive by a very few Sikh hardliners and some radical groups being funded by foreign-based supporters of a separate state.
Meanwhile, police denied any chances of return of the Khalistan movement, saying the police is fully alert.
Brar said the arms seizure is a big recovery for the police and further investigation is on in the matter.
