Police seeks CCTV footage from BCCI in Preity Zinta Molestation case

Mumbai Police Commissioner, Rakesh Maria on Wednesday informed about the police seeking CCTV footage from the BCCI in the molestation case involving Bollywood actress Preity Zinta against her ex-beau and businessman, Ness Wadia,

"Matter is being investigated, written a letter to BCCI for CCTV footage at the stadium to see if the alleged fight was recorded. Preity has contacted us, she's coming back to assist in the investigation in this week, when she comes we will record her supplementary statement," Maria said while briefing the media.

On the issue of employees of Ness Wadia's company getting threat calls reportedly from gangster Ravi Pujari's gang, Maria said,"In the meanwhile two secretaries of the Wadia group supposedly have received some call which we are submitting the case to anti-extortion cell of crime branch,probing details of five phone calls and one message through anti-extortion cell of crime branch. so we are probing that angle. There is a SMS which has been recieved the number is supposed to be from Iran. Based on the SMS we will register offence against unknown person at the moment."

 

"Yes, the complaint has come to us that the caller says that he is Ravi Pujari, we are examining that angle. We will be investigating this matter thoroughly, before we arrive at a decision," he added.

Earlier, Zinta had filed a case against Wadia, alleging that he had molested and abused her at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match in May. Zinta also issued a public statement on Facebook regarding the molestation case.
