He will first head to Tokyo for two days, from October 6 to October 7, and meet Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Foreign Minister Taro Kono.

On the same day, Pompeo will visit Seoul for two days and will meet South Korean President Moon Jae-in and Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha.

Pompeo will then be visiting Beijing on October 8 and meet his Chinese counterparts to discuss bilateral, regional and global issues.
