Pope Francis has added his voice to the feminist anthem of equal pay and has said that it's "scandalous" that women earn less than men for the same job.
The Pope of the Catholic Church also lambasted the attitude of some who blame the crisis in families on women getting out of the house to work, Fox News reported.
The 78-year-old Pope asserted that husband and wife must be complementary and they should support with decisiveness the right to equal pay for equal work.
Pope added that such attitudes were a form of "machismo" that shows how men wanted to dominate women.
