Pope Francis I will visit Sri Lanka from January 13 to 15, Sri Lanka's Catholic Church has confirmed.
Earlier, it was reported that the Pope might cancel his visit to the presidential elections.
The Archbishop of Colombo, Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith, confirmed the visit during a Presbyteral meeting of the Archdiocese of Colombo on October 27, reports the Colombo Page.
Cardinal Malcolm said a Vatican delegation will visit Sri Lanka to finalise details of the Pope's programme.
