Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday said the Bharatiya Janata Party's leadership in Delhi and Shiv Sena are having positive discussions regarding the latter's participation in the government.
When asked to comment upon the ultimatum given by the Shiv Sena to BJP wherein they have asked for Deputy CM's post, Fadnavis said, "Our leaders in Delhi and the Shiv Sena are having positive discussions. I am hopeful that everything will be fine."
The Chief Minister had earlier said the Shiv Sena can join his government only after trust vote.
Fadnavis was sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra last Friday. The oath-taking ceremony, which was held in the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu and BJP veteran LK Advani, along with former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.
