Hours, after inflammatory posters were seen on the walls of Saharanpur against Bangladeshi students, Saharanpur Superintendent of Police (SSP) Babloo Kumar, informed that investigation has been initiated in the matter to nab the perpetrators.

Talking to ANI, SSP Kumar said that the action will be taken after the investigation.

"We are investigating the matter and action will be taken after the facts come to light," Kumar said.

Earlier on Monday, inflammatory posters were seen on the walls and mosques with a message threatening Bangladeshi students with dire consequences if they did not leave the country within a month.

The posters were later brought down and burnt by angry local residents.

Deoband is home to world-renowned Islamic seminary Darul Uloom and the incident comes at a time when seminary's vice-chancellor Abul Qasim Nomani is on a ten-day visit to Bangladesh.
