Expressing disappointment over Yogendra Yadav's detention during a farmer's protest in the national capital, ousted Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Prashant Bhushan on Tuesday said that the former had not created any law and order problem but were staging a peaceful protest.
"They were protesting peacefully but were beaten up and later detained. They were not making any law and order problem," said Bhushan.
Former AAP leader Yogendra Yadav was detained by the Delhi Police during a farmers' protest at Jantar Mantar last night.
Yadav, who was trying to march towards the Prime Minister's official 7 Race Course Road residence, has alleged that he was "brutally assaulted".
