In an attempt to uplift lower league sides and grassroots football, Premier League clubs have reached an agreement to share at least one billion pounds of their record UK TV rights deal with relegated teams.
The member clubs have agreed to invest in grassroots facilities, participation, fan engagement and match day experience, solidarity with lower leagues, and supporting disadvantaged groups.
In addition to above mentioned assistance, the member clubs have decided to pay all full-time staff the living wage by the start of the 2016-17 season.
Sky and BT have purchased the league's live TV rights for 5,136 billion pounds for three years from 2016.
In light of these decisions, Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore said that these were unprecedented levels of redistribution in world sport, which would deliver long-term progress for English football.
