President Pranab Mukherjee has accepted the resignation of M.K. Narayanan, as Governor of West Bengal.
A communique issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan said that President Mukherjee has appointed Dr. D.Y. Patil, Governor of Bihar, to discharge the functions of the Governor of West Bengal, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangements for the office of the Governor of West Bengal are made.
