President condoles passing away of noted parliamentarian Dr. M.S. Sanjeevi Rao

President Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the passing away of noted parliamentarian and administrator Dr. M.S. Sanjeevi Rao.

In a condolence message to his son, Dr. M. Mangapati Pallam Raju, the President has said, "I am extremely saddened to learn about the passing away of your father, Dr. M.S. Sanjeevi Rao."

The President added, "Dr. Sanjeevi Rao was a distinguished parliamentarian and an able administrator who served the nation in different capacities. A multi-faceted personality, he worked with distinction as a union minister during 1982-1984. As a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, he was always concerned about the welfare of the people in the state of Andhra Pradesh."

 

"Dr. Rao was also known for his interest in sports as well as various research activities. In his death, the nation has lost an eminent personality who was always in touch with the grassroots of society. I convey my heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family and his colleagues and friends. I pray to the Almighty to give you and your family the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss," he further added.
