President Pranab Mukherjee has conveyed condolences over death of seven persons in a tragic crash of an Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) of the Indian Air Force near Sitapur of Lucknow area on July 25 this year.
A Rashtrapati Bhawan press communique quoted that in a condolence message to Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, the President has said, "I am saddened to learn about the tragic crash of an advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) of the Indian Air Force near Sitapur of Lucknow area, in which all seven occupants including the pilot and co-pilot lost their lives."
"I am sure that all necessary help and assistance is being provided to the next of kin of the deceased. Kindly convey my heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families, friends and colleagues. I pray for peace of the departed souls," he added.
