President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of Panama on the eve of their National Day.
In his message the President of the Republic of Panama Juan Carlos Varela Rodriguez, the President said, "On behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to convey warm greetings and felicitations to you and to the people of Panama on the occasion of your National Day."
President Mukherjee said that India and Panama have always enjoyed cordial bilateral relations, and expressed confidence that relations will expand and deepen further in the years ahead.
"The India-SICA Dialogue, to which India attaches high value, adds to the strengthening of our ties. I look forward to working closely with Your Excellency to further deepen our mutually beneficial cooperation in the years to come," he said.
"I also avail of this opportunity to convey to Your Excellency my best wishes for your personal well-being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Panama," he added.
