President Mukherjee greets Botswana on the eve of I-day

President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and the people of the Republic of Botswana on the eve of their Independence Day.

In his message to Lt. Gen. Seretse Khama lan Khama, the President of the Republic of Botswana, President Mukherjee said, "On behalf of the Government and people of India, as well as on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to convey to Your Excellency and the people of Botswana, my warm felicitations on the occasion of your Independence Day."

"India and Botswana share close and friendly relations, which have been expanding in recent years, to the mutual benefit of both our peoples. I am confident that the relations between our two countries will further strengthen in the years to come," said President Mukherjee

 

"Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your personal health and well being as well as for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Botswana," he added.
