President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday extended greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of Slovenia on the eve of their National Day.
"On behalf of the Government, people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to extend warm greetings and felicitations to you and to the friendly people of Slovenia on the occasion of your National Day," President Mukherjee said in his message to his Slovenian counterpart Borut Pahor.
"It is a matter of satisfaction that there have been regular contacts between our Governments and people since your visit to India in 2011 as Prime Minister of Slovenia. India was the focus country at the business segment of the Bled Strategic Forum 2014. Such exchanges have invigorated our cooperation in several fields, including those of science and technology, education, trade and commerce and culture. I am confident that these ties will continue to deepen and diversify further to the mutual benefit of our two peoples," he added.
"Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your personal well-being, as well as for the progress and prosperity of the people of the Republic of Slovenia," he said.
Slovenia celebrates its National Day every year on June 25.
