United States of America President Barack Obama on Wednesday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi by referring to him as a 'man of action'. President Obama used the phrase during a gala dinner hosted for the leaders from with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and East Asia Summit (EAS) member countries.
"Prez Obama greets PM @narendramodi at Gala dinner - "You are a man of action!"," Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin tweeted.
Taking part in the India-ASEAN Summit earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi said that India's 'Look East Policy' has become an 'Act East Policy'. On the sidelines of this summit, Prime Minister Modi met with the South Korean President, the Prime Ministers of Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand and the Sultan of Brunei.
Prime Minister Modi is also scheduled to attend the East Asia Summit (EAS) on Thursday.
