Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday targeted the Modi Government, saying that the pride, which led down the Congress Party, will work the same way with Bharatiya Janata Party.

Sympathizing with the family of ex-serviceman Ram Kishan Grewal, who committed suicide on Tuesday allegedly over the delay in One Rank, One Pension (OROP) scheme, Kejriwal said that the Prime Minister should have met the family of the soldier.

"A soldier committed suicide is this a small issue? The issue they have raised of One Rank, One Pension (OROP) is also right. We are receiving calls from serving officers since morning, they are saying that 'you are doing the right thing, we can't say anything as we are within the army,'." Kejriwal told the media.

The body of Grewal has been taken to his hometown in Haryana after a post-mortem was conducted at the Lady Hardinge Hospital.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi has reached Bhiwani to meet the grieving family.

Rahul had met with the family earlier yesterday and had accused the Delhi Police of illegally detaining and abusing them.

Yesterday, Gandhi was first detained at the RML Hospital when he tried to meet the family members of Grewal and was taken to Mandir Marg Police Station. He was detained for around 70 minutes before being released.

Grewal consumed poison on Tuesday. However, the cause behind his suicide is yet to be ascertained.

Grewal's cremation will take place at his hometown Bhiwani in Haryana today.
