Prince Harry was bombarded with text messages and phone calls by former girlfriend Chelsy Davy, while he was undergoing officer training at Sandhurst, a court has heard.
The jury at the phone hacking trial at the Old Bailey was told that Clive Goodman, News of the World's former royal editor, sent an email to the then editor Andy Coulson saying that Davy was blitzing the now 29-year-old royal with dozens of calls, and driving him nuts.
The email futher read that the 29-year-old prince was not allowed to use his mobile until he was off duty, which was 10pm, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
The email went on that the family liked her well enough but they were worried that she was incredibly needy, just at the time when Harry needed to be concentrating on himself.
