Oxford dictionary won't be printed again because the future editions will be too big to print.

The book's editor Michael Proffitt blamed the monster delays on the internet creating so much extra material and said that how the firm manifests has to change and how it reaches people has to change, the Daily Star reported.

He said that although the internet has made access easier, it's also created the dilemma of information overload, and that a print version of OED3 will only be made if there was great demand for it once it was finished.

Proffitt added that giant reference works such as the OED had a great future on the internet.
