A private trainee aircraft which belongs to the Rajiv Gandhi Aviation Academy crashed near Mokila village of Shankarpally Mandal in this district on Wednesday.
The pilot of the aircraft, Bhaskar Bhushan, had to make an emergency landing in agricultural fields on the outskirts of the village due to a technical glitch in the plane.
Bhushan, a student pilot who was flying solo, has been hospitalised and is stated to be safe.
Rajiv Gandhi Aviation Academy marketing head Umesh Kamat told ANI, "Bharat Bhushan, a trainee student who was flying a trainee aircraft, made an emergency landing in the fields in Mokila Village. He did a good job by landing the aircraft in a field. The pilot is safe.
