Parents of teenage kids have opened up about their fears regarding their child's dangerous lifestyle to an expert on thekidsareallright.com website.

The questions submitted by parents, such as "My son's mates seem to be using Ritalin as a party drug - is this harmful?" and "Is there such a thing as healthy pornography in a teen's life," show that the problems faced by today's parents are issues previous generations did not face, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Adolescent psychologist Stefanie Schwartz said that the peer stuff has shifted from classroom difficulties and whether their child is interacting with the right social circle to what is that child being exposed to online and how can they stay actively involved as a parent.

Schwartz added that parents are confused about what they can do and what restrictions and consequences they put in place.
