Producer Martin Bregman dies at 92

Martin Bregman, the producer behind films like 'Scarface' and 'Dog Day Afternoon', died at the age of 92.

As reported by Variety, his wife Cornelia told NBC 4 that the 'Serpico' producer died of a cerebral hemorrhage on Saturday (local time).

Bregman formed M&M Productions with Michael Caine in 1992 producing 'Blue Ice' the Caine-starring film.

Other notable films produced by Bregman include the 1999 thriller 'The Bone Collector' which starred Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie and the 2002 sci-fi comedy 'The Adventures of Pluto Nash' starring Eddie Murphy.

Born to Ida and Leon Bregamn in 1925 at New York City, Martin was educated at NYU and Indiana University.

 

He is now survived by his second wife, actress Cornelia Sharpe, whom he married in 1981, and children Michael, Chris, and Marissa.
