Former South Africa cricket team captain Clive Rice had his last round of robotic radiation treatment for his cancer-related brain tumour at an Indian Hospital on Friday.

Rice, who was treated at Bangalore's Health Care Hospital, might reportedly be allowed to return to South Africa early next week.

Dr. PS Sridhar, specialist in such 'CyberKnife' treatment, confirmed that Rice has been responding well to the treatment, adding that the former all-rounder's morale is very high, Sport24 reported.

Rice has been enjoying VIP hospitality in India. His wife, Susan, said that everyone there in the hospital and hotel is helping them in every possible manner and her husband is well looked after.

Rice, whose career coincided directly with South Africa's sporting isolation with his international experience being limited to his post-prime days, collapsed at his home last weekend before a game of golf.

Rice played three ODIs for South Africa following the country's return from sporting isolation, against India in 1991, the report added.
