South Africa produced a clinical performance on Tuesday to claim a 31-run win over hosts Bangladesh in the second T20 and thereby seal the two-match series 2-0 at Shere Bangla National Stadium at Dhaka.
Opting to bat first, South Africa started off on a promising note as Quinton De Kock (44) and AB de Villiers (40) provided a solid 95-run partnership for the opening wicket before the dismissal of the former.
Although off-spinner Naseer Hossain tried to contain the run-flow by removing De Villiers and JP Duminy (6) in quick succession, the tourists subsequently posted a challenging 170-run target for Bangladesh .
While captain Faf du Plessis made 16, big-hitter David Miller (30) and Rilee Rossouw (19) smacked some meaty blows towards the end.
In reply, Soumya Sarkar provided the initial thrust by smacking a brisk 37 off 21 balls, however, Tamim Iqbal (13) struggled to accelerate their innings.
