South African fast bowler Lonwabo Tsotsobe has reportedly successfully undergone an ankle operation.
Tsotsobe went under the knife on Wednesday to alleviate a right ankle posterior talar impingement syndrome, which has been affecting him for the last 18 months.
According to Sport24, Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirmed the news and wished the quick a speedy recovery.
The report mentioned that the recovery period will be between two to three months, making it unlikely that Tsotsobe will be available for the his team's tour to Sri Lanka in July although the management will work hard to try have him ready for the tour to Zimbabwe in August.
