South Africa continue to struggle as they went in to bat on the final day of the second Test and have managed to put up just 59 runs so far for the loss of two wickets and still require 310 runs to defeat Sri Lanka.
At the end of the fourth day the visitors required 331 to beat Lanka and by lunch on the final day they have just put in 21 more runs that has just managed to reduce their trail to 310 runs.
Sri Lanka's off-break bowler Dilruwan Perera bowled out opening batsman Dean Elgar for his individual score of 13 after Alviro Pietersen's went out for a duck a day before on Rangana Herath's delivery.
Quinton de Kock and South African captain Hashim Amla are batting for the visitors' side on their individual score of 31 and 8 respectively.
South Africa currently leads the two-match Test series by 1-0 and the ongoing Test at Senhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo.
