A group of demonstrators protested outside the Pakistan High Commission here on Thursday, demanding that the Islamic Republic end its incessant ceasefire violations and stop firing at India along the International Border and the Line of Control (LoC).

Burning placards with Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's legend on it, they urged Indian troops to attack that nation.

Meanwhile, members of the Youth Congress went out on a march against Pakistan with cries defaming that nation.

Pakistani troops, firing along the International Border last night, injured eight persons, including three BSF jawans.

Almost the whole stretch of the International Border including Samba, Hiranagar, Ramgarh, Arnia, RS Pura, Kanachak and Pargwal was affected by the firing.
