Supporters of the Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) in Pakistan staged a protest against the targeted killings of the members of Hazara community and other innocent people over the past three days.

According to Dawn News, a large number of HDP's members carried placards and banners inscribed with slogans against terrorism and extremism and for restoration of peace in a procession on Friday.

The agitators, however, were prevented from marching towards the Governor House and Chief Minister Secretariat.

HDP president Abdul Khaliq Hazara alleged that the law-enforcement agencies did not even allow them to stage a peaceful rally.
