Puerto Rico's Governor Ricardo Rossello, in an exclusive interview with CNN, lambasted the White House administration and accused the officials of 'bullying'.
"If the bully gets close, I'll punch the bully in the mouth. It would be a mistake to confuse courtesy with courage," CNN quoted Rossello as saying.
He further asserted that he will not sit back and be subjected to bullying.
Amid the rising tensions between US President Donald Trump and Rossello over the slow disaster relief efforts for the island which was devastated after Hurricane Maria.
Puerto Rican Governor's top aides stated that White House officials on Wednesday had warned the representative of the island for pushing too hard to arrange a meeting to discuss the dreadful situation of the US territory with the President.
Trump has declined to meet with Rossello, despite several requests from the Puerto Rican Governor to discuss recovery efforts that are still underway for about two years since the storm hit.
