In a veiled attack on the West on Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned them that it is better not to mess with his country, pointing towards its robust nuclear stockpile.
In a youth forum, Putin asserted that Russia was strengthening its nuclear deterrence and its armed forces, making them more efficient and modernised. He also stated that Moscow doesn't want or intend to wade into any "large-scale conflicts, reported Russia's state-run news agency Itar-Tass.
Flexing Russia's nuclear muscle, Putin pointed to the fact that Russia was one of the most powerful nuclear nations, and this was a reality and not just mere words, reported CNN.
He also called for military preparedness to repel any aggression directed against Russia, as he warned Moscow's potential enemies to back off from venturing into any armed conflict against his country.
