It's a double treat for Amitabh Bachchan today as on one hand his 1971 romantic drama 'Pyar Ki Kahani' completed its 45 years, on the other, his 1979 critically acclaimed movie 'Manzil' turned 37 years.

The 73-year-old actor took to his Twitter handle to share his happiness, saying, "My film 'Pyaar ki Kahani' completes 45 years .. !! and 'Manzil' 37 years .. how did the years go by .. ??"

'Pyar Ki Kahani,' directed by Ravikant Nagaich was a remake of Tamil flick 'Kai Koduttha Dheivam' starring Sivaji Ganesan and Savitri.

The film starred Mala Sinha and Tanuja with Big-B.

'Manzil,' on the other hand, was a critically acclaimed movie directed by Basu Chatterjee.

The film was similar to the Bengali film 'Akash Kusum,' directed by the veteran parallel film maker Mrinal Sen, which starred Soumitra Chatterjee and Aparna Sen in the lead.

'Manzil' starred Moushumi Chatterjee along with senior Bachchan in it.
