'Queen, Haider' win big at 16th S-Cross IIFA awards 2015 held in Malaysia

'Haider', 'Queen' emerged as big winners at the 16th IIFA awards held in Malaysia by taking home three awards each.

The most coveted awards for Best Actor (Male) and Best Actor (Female) were presented to Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut respectively, for their remarkable performances of the year.

The award for Best Picture went to 'Queen', while Rajkumar Hirani took home the award for Direction for 'PK'. Deepika Padukone won an award for IIFA Woman of the Year.

Giving Indian cinema a global platform, the S Cross IIFA Awards was held at the Stadium Putra in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. For the first time ever, Bollywood's hilarious duo- the talented actors Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor played host to India's most anticipated awards ceremony.

 

Eminent film-maker Subhash Ghai was awarded for his Outstanding Contribution to Indian Cinema, while fresh talents Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon were lauded for their debut performances.

Kay Kay Menon bagged an award for the Best Actor in a Negative Role for his spectacular performance in 'Haider'.

Whereas, best playback singer- male was bagged by Ankit Tiwari for Galliyaan (Ek Villian) and best playback singer- female award was received by Kanika Kapoor for Baby Doll (Ragini MMS2).
