She came, she saw, she conquered! That's Kangana Ranaut's decade-long Bollywood journey in a nutshell. Ten years ago on this day, the actress made her big screen debut with 'Gangster' that released on 28th April 2006.
Kangana portrayed her character's longing and pain with such intensity that it made people sit up and take notice of this new 'curly-haired girl'. The film went on to become a hit and Kangana to win her first debut award.
However, finding a firm footing was not without struggle for the actress who had nothing but her strong performances to help her cement her position at the box-office.
Talking about her decade-long journey , Kangana said, "I am extremely proud of my rags-to-riches story, it's fun to be a misfit or an underdog if you acknowledge your gifts and befriend your obstacles."
