Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Monday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of playing communal and region-based politics.

Addressing a public gathering at Sonipat district in Haryana, Gandhi said there was a wide difference between the thinking of the Congress Party and the BJP.

"The difference between thinking of Congress party and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is that for us every one belongs to India be it Hindu, Muslim, Sikh or people from any caste and religion," said Gandhi.

Gandhi also said that the BJP does politics based on caste and region.

"For BJP, people from northern Uttar Pradesh province and western Maharashtra state are outsiders; people in western Gujarat hailing from northern Punjab and Haryana are outsiders. Wherever BJP goes, they make someone an outsider and someone an insider and that is their politics," added Rahul.
