Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Vyapam scam and the Lalitgate controversy, urging him to break his silence on both issues.

Gandhi's thoughts were shared by the official twitter account of his office, via a series of tweets in Hindi, where the Congress vice president recalled the Prime Minister's promise of 'Na khaoonga, na khane doonga'.

Gandhi said that as Prime Minister, Narendra Modi's words should carry some weight, asking him why he was allowing people in Rajasthan, referring to Vasundhara Raje; and Madhya Pradesh, referring to Shivraj Singh Chouhan; to 'eat'.

The Congress has been gunning for the resignations of Raje and Chouhan: the former's after the Lalit Modi controversy and the latter's after the increasing number of deaths in connection with the Vyapam scam.
